La National Society of Film Critics anunció los ganadores de sus premios anuales, imponiéndose The rider, de Chloe Zhao, como la mejor película del 2018.
La prestigiosa agrupación de críticos también premió a Roma como mejor film en idioma extranjero, además de otorgarle a Alfonso Cuarón el galardón al mejor director.

-Mejor actriz de reparto: Regina King (If Beale Street Could Talk). Luego se ubicaron: Elizabeth Debicki (Viudas) y Emma Stone (La favorita).
-Mejor actor de reparto: Steven Yeun (Burning), Luego se ubicaron: Richard E. Grant (Can You Ever Forgive Me?) y Brian Tyree Henry (If Beale Street Could Talk, Viudas, Spider-Man: un nuevo universo)
-Mejor fotografía: Alfonso Cuarón (Roma). Luego se ubicaron: James Laxton (If Beale Street Could Talk) y Lukasz Zal (Cold War)
-Mejor guión: Armando Iannucci, David Schneider e Ian Martin (The Death of Stalin). Luego se ubicaron: Nicole Holofcener y Jeff Whitty (Can You Ever Forgive Me?), y Deborah Davis y Tony McNamara (La favorita)
-Film Heritage Award: al equipo que completó Al otro lado del viento, de Orson Welles; y al Museum of Modern Art por restaurar Rosita (1923), de Ernst Lubitsch.
