Se anunciaron las nominaciones a los Premios Emmy, y Game of thrones otra vez aparece como un jugador fuerte, lo mismo que otras series de HBO como Westworld y Barry. Sin embargo, Netflix se posicionó como con la mayor cantidad de postulaciones en el total y es la primera vez en la historia que un servicio de streaming consigue ese logro.
Game of thrones fue el drama con mayor cantidad de candidaturas (22), mientras que American Crime Story: El asesinato de Gianni Versace lidera en la categoría de miniseries (18), y Atlanta lo hace en la de comedia (16).
Los 70º premios Emmy se entregarán el lunes 17 de septiembre en una ceremonia que será conducida por Colin Jost y Michael Che.
